# Deplane documentation

Deplane turns a folder of code into a running app at a public URL with one command.

Deplane builds your project, runs it in its own sandbox, and gives it an HTTPS address. You work with your team, your apps (with their releases, variables, domains, workers and cron jobs), and your databases, from the dashboard or the CLI.

## Pages

- [Install](install.md): install the CLI and log in.
- [Quickstart](quickstart.md): from a folder to a URL with `deplane launch`, or from a Docker image, and one-off commands with `deplane run`.
- [Dashboard](dashboard.md): deploy and manage everything from the browser.
- [CLI reference](cli.md): every command, flag, exit code, and `--json` output.
- [GitHub](github.md): deploy on every push, with a preview for every pull request.
- [GitLab and Bitbucket](gitlab-bitbucket.md): deploy from GitLab CI or Bitbucket Pipelines with no stored credential, or connect a repository.
- [Scaling](scaling.md): instances, autoscaling, and sleep when idle.
- [Custom domains](domains.md): your own domain, with HTTPS.
- [Alerts](alerts.md): know when an app goes down, errors, slows down or fails to deploy.
- [Assistant](assistant.md): ask about your apps in plain words.
- [AI tools (MCP)](mcp.md): connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, and let them deploy for you.
- [Databases](databases.md): managed Postgres attached to your apps, backed up continuously, with point-in-time restore.
- [Import a Postgres database](import-postgres.md): copy a database from Heroku, RDS, Supabase, Neon or your own server, and, for a live import, switch over in under a minute.
- [Moving from Heroku](heroku.md): import a Heroku app with `deplane import heroku` or from the dashboard: its code, config vars, processes, Postgres and Redis, then switch when it works.
- [Moving from Render](render.md): import a Render web service with `deplane import render` or from the dashboard: its code, environment, workers, cron jobs, Postgres and Key Value.
- [Moving from Railway](railway.md): import a Railway service with `deplane import railway` or from the dashboard: its code, variables, workers, cron jobs, Postgres and Redis.
- [Moving from Docker Compose](compose.md): import a `docker-compose.yml` with `deplane import compose` or from the dashboard: its apps, workers, databases, Redis, disks and variables.
- [Moving from Fly.io](fly.md): import a Fly app with `deplane import fly` or from the dashboard: its code, fly.toml, process groups, scheduled Machines and variables, with its secrets by name.
- [Moving from Vercel](vercel.md): import a Vercel project with `deplane import vercel` or from the dashboard: its code, variables, cron jobs and domains.
- [Moving from Netlify](netlify.md): import a Netlify site with `deplane import netlify` or from the dashboard: its code, variables and domains.
- [Moving from cPanel](cpanel.md): move a WordPress site from a cPanel host with `deplane import cpanel`: its files, database and users, tested on its own address before you change DNS; email stays at your host.
- [Disks](disks.md): a disk for an app whose files stay across deploys, backed up every night.
- [Redis](redis.md): a managed Redis (Valkey) for caches and queues, attached to your apps, backed up every night.
- [MySQL](mysql.md): a managed MySQL 8.4 for apps that need MySQL, attached to your apps, backed up every night.
- [ClickHouse®](clickhouse.md): a managed ClickHouse 26.8 database for analytics and event data, attached to your apps, backed up every night.
- [Templates](templates.md): one-click open-source apps and starters, with their database and disk.
- [Stacks](stacks.md): describe several apps, their workers, cron jobs, databases, disks, domains and variables once in `stack.yaml`, and apply it with `deplane stack apply`.
- [Workers and cron jobs](workers.md): background and scheduled processes.
- [Release command](release-command.md): run your migrations before each new version serves; a failure keeps the old version live.
- [Private networking](private-networking.md): let your team's apps call each other at `http://<app>`, without the public internet.
- [Team](team.md): members, owners, and invitations.

- [Acceptable use policy](acceptable-use.md): what you may not run on Deplane.
